Shayne Bowden (Fukuoka, Japan)
Shayne Bowden is an Australian sound artist, writer and curator based in Fukuoka Japan. Switching between power electronics and percussion, he is a member of hercel, JYURIN and Monster Movie. In 2003 he began DETERRA which promotes local and international artists and musicians in Fukuoka and elsewhere in Japan. In 2008 and 2009 he produced the AGAINST: Fukuoka Extreme Music Festival.

Eye (Dunedin)
Formed in Dunedin in 2003 - Peter, Peter and Nathan. Nathan went to Sydney in 2005 and Ryan Cockburn (turntables) joined up. Two years later, Ryan went to Melbourne, Nathan returned and here we are. Improvised sound/noise/rock. Very quiet, very loud, intense dynamics. Released a split 10" on United Fairy Moons with 3 Forks, then a CD Black Ice on same label. Thurston Moore/Byron Coley's Bull Tongue top things of 2005 put this release at Number 3 on their list. Released another CD and 7" on CMR in 2007. A new album has now been completed, and we are ready to release it. If there are any labels out there with decent distribution, give us a call! An Eye track "Skeleton Key" has been chosen and included on the Wire magazine "Dirt beneath the Daydream" CD which was included with the February issue of Wire magazine. Check out the compilation if you can - it is a great one - all NZ experimental music.
